About

“Don’t tell me the moon is shining; show me the glint of light on broken glass.”

Anton Chekhov

I’m a firm believer that language is the most important thing we have. (Ok, at the moment, my quarter-full pot of coffee with chicory is the most important thing I have, but you get what I’m saying).

Without language, our stories crumble faster than blueberry crisps pulled straight from the oven. Without language, we cannot make sense of the world – which means we cannot make sense of ourselves.

This is why I’ve devoted most of my life to making sure my words are alive with music and flavor, and, to borrow from Anton Chekhov, the “moon’s” luminosity.

Regardless of whether I’m writing poems or essays, email sequences or SEO copy, I strive to imbue my narratives with rhythm, purpose, and LIFE.

I hold a PhD in Creative Writing from Georgia State University. In addition to writing poems and essays (and publishing a poetry collection) I’ve written copy for several companies. I’ve specifically written the following:

  • SEO blogs
  • Email sequences
  • Web copy
  • Web content

Though I enjoy writing in several genres, all of my writing is driven by one thing: an INSATIABLE CURIOSITY.

Whether I’m writing a poem about pitted olives or an essay about plating steak au poivre (is it lunch yet?), my words flow from a desire to know more.

So, pull up a chair and stay a while. It’s a pleasure to meet you!
